Closing risks and issues: outcome, resolution and review

You will be able to

• Record the outcome of a risk or issue
• Connect the work that resolves it when it needs resolution
• Ask to close, and review a closure

Step by step

1. Record the outcome Risk or issue › Outcome and closure
   Mitigated, accepted, invalid, a workaround, or needs resolution. Every outcome needs a note.
2. Needs resolution: connect the work Outcome › Work item that resolves it
   Give the key of the work item that resolves it. The risk moves to Mitigating and can close only when that work is done.
3. Ask to close Outcome and closure › Ask to close
   The closure waits for review.
4. Review the closure Outcome and closure › Approve or Return
   Someone else approves it, or returns it saying what is still needed. Closing an escalated risk closes the one below it too.
